Frequently asked questions.

What is the easiest way to get to and from the wedding venue(s)?

When you arrive in Nadi International Airport, if you have booked your accommodation with the Shangri-La you will have access to airport transfers. On the day of the wedding the resort offers transport for all the guests to and from the ceremony.

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Our wedding colour scheme is neutral colours, based on timeless elegance. Michael has specifically requested that “no one turns up in a floral fru fru suit” lol. Cocktail attire is perfect, be mindful it will likely be very warm! Fiji in August has temperatures around 26 degrees, however it can get colder and windy in the afternoons.

Am I allowed to bring a plus one?

Absolutely! We love your partners and your children as much as we love you. Just make sure you include this on your RSVP information so we can cater for them.

What type of food will be served at the wedding?

We have booked out an Italian Restaurant at the resort for the reception. We are yet to finalise menus however if you do have allergies please let us know!

Will you have a wishing well/wedding registry?

No we will not be expecting any gifts from our guests. We appreciate the costs involved with coming to our destination wedding may be expensive and do not want anyone to feel pressure to provide a gift as well. Your presence is worth more to us than presents! If you are unable to come to the wedding and would love to arrange a wedding gift instead, please feel free to message Jess or Michael directly.

Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?

We have organised a professional photographer and videographer for the duration of the ceremony, so we do ask that you enjoy the moment instead of taking photos on your phone. We will happily share all our photos with you after the wedding! You are more than welcome to take photos and videos before & after the ceremony (ps. we would love a copy of these too!)

What happens after the ceremony?

After the ceremony, the wedding party will be taking pictures nearby for around an hour, we would love to get photos with our guests too! We are still in the process of arranging an exact order of events, however it is likely there will be a short cocktail hour on the grounds outside the chapel before moving on to the reception venue.

What other wedding events will be on?

We will be arranging a cultural experience rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding (details tbc) and otherwise plan on relaxing, swimming and immersing ourselves in the culture.
